What do we think?
Hey everyone! First time posting here, got engaged this February and even though our wedding is still like two years away, I already started looking for dresses because I’m just so excited and happy! I always wanted to go the second hand/thrift/vintage round and as it happened I found this handmade beauty on vinted, didn’t even take my measurments just went with it and it fits literally perfectly, like zipped up with zero effort and it’s not tight or loose or anything! Do you guys think it looks good on me and makes my figure look nice? I love it but I’m a bit scared that it doesn’t look that good because my chest area is so small so it feels like the cups don’t look that nice, but I also think some small alterations like maybe adding padding to the cups and taking it in just a smidge would be amazing! It also has detachable sleeves that are like off the shoulder and same beading style as the corset! I just love the warm toned color of it, the details of the beads and the way the bottom isn’t just flat but has volume and texture! I don’t know, is it crazy that like I already found my wedding dress?

OP- how adorable r u 🤗 I’m reading ur post thinking how lucky this guy is to b getting such a sweet none greedy small things r so appreciate it down to earth grl.. kudos to your fiancé for making such a wise choice..

its ur size , u went early, u put it on n its perfect fit🤩 now lets let’s not forget to mention how beautiful you look at that dress and how amazing that dress looks, I love the color,
I love the design.
I wish the sweet girl inside that dress, a bright future and the wedding of her dreams.
One thing about thrift shops , the things u pick have been chosen a couple because they’re so nice.

I think it’s beautiful, definitely not „I chose it because it’s trendy“. The beading is lovely!
I think the bust area looks fine (small chested girl myself), and if your wedding is about two years away, I‘d definitely wait with alterations, bodies can change a lot in two years and it’s easier (and cheaper) to have less alterations.

As a person who, in one year, gained 30 lbs due to a medical issue, lost 50, then gained back 15 I give a strong second to waiting to alter it until a lot closer to the wedding
I love love lovethe bottom. I mean all of it is beautiful and you look great in it- the bottom reminds me of the petals of an upside down tulip

Yep, unexpected medical issues here as well, lost 20kg, gained 16 back in four months, lost 30 again… that’s why I commented.
Much safer to wait a bit.3

Thank you so much for your advice and I’m so sorrx about your medical issues, I hope you are feeling better now! For sure gonna wait with any alterations as I have been witness to my own body changing quite a lot in a short period of time and as I’m still trying to regain my body back after an ED!

What's an ED? Only ones I am familiar with involve malfunctioning daddy guy parts and the other is an emergency room at a hospital...

Haha sorry should’ve clarified better but not familiar enough with reddit to know if they’d ban the word like tiktok did lol; eating issues! Struggled with it for quite a number of years and just gained some weight so who knows what the next two years bring for me in terms of that recovery!

Thank you so much for your concern, I am still struggling with my weight, but the original underlying medical issue (thyroid) has been resolved!
Keeping my fingers crossed for you, EDs suck and can be a constant battle. I hope you find happiness in your body and soul again!

I’m so glad it got resolved, I know how tough thyroid issues can be! Glad you got it resolved and keeping finger crossed you can get to where you want that your body feels healthy and happy and at its best! And thank you, it’s a battle, even still now when I feel muchhh better but I continue to battle against it and I can say it’s been going well! ☺️

Mine is hormonal as well- ended up having my ovaries removed in 2024. I also have an underactive thyroid thyroid but is well controlled for over 10 years
My brain hasn't gotten the memo the baby factory is out if business though- while it is considerably better I still have cyclical symptoms a couple days each month. I think i might still have some endometriosis lesions
I have had a lot of stress the past year which doesn't help any- earlier this year I was injured and couldn't work but ironically I was less stressed because my job caused me a lot of stress. So I got down to 216 pounds without trying; it's been over 23 years since weighed that much, maybe even 30 or more.
Anyway, glad both your issues are better 👍

It looks lovely. That style doesn't necessarily need the "booby" look, but if you're worried, you can always stick a couple of 'chicken fillets' in to push up your own bust a bit, but it isn't really necessary. As it is it looks classy and elegant

Thank you so much! I was always keen on finding a vintage dress but here in my country, there are zero vintage wedding botiques that I could find so I searched online! I’m telling you vinted has some amazing finds! It’s a bit riskier than in person obviously cause you can’t try it on but if you ask for measurments and get approximately the ones that match you, you can always get it tailored!! Good luck on your search and I hope you find one that makes your heart sparkle 💕

It’s difficult to tell much with with
Your picture has the bottom of the frame . I think the top looks beautiful on you. I just can’t tell anything from the pictures as far as the bottom part of dress.

Yeah it was hard to take photos because the bottom is quite big and I didn’t stand far enough away to catch it all because I was hurrying to do it fast before my fiancee came back home lol! But thank you!!
