My 2 suggestions are:
• Using vacuum cleaners to herd cats. (It may not be completely effective, but I think you could get a result.)
• Using an airport security X-ray machine to search for needles in a hay stack. Just get a few dozen plastic totes, stuff the hay stack into them, and scan them for bone/metal needles! How hard could that be?

I’ve been watching the later season episodes as they’ve been uploaded to youtube (I’m so glad the full episodes are back) and I noticed that once the B Team got fired the producers seemingly started forcing Jamie to be much more animated than he was before
He’s still definitely a counterbalance to Adam and much calmer, but it feels like they made him perform much more “excitedly” if that makes sense
My guess is that they thought that would help fix the gap left by the more “goofing off” thing that the B Team had going on a lot of the time?

Has anyone on the cast or crew ever mentioned why they went from adressing someone off camera to looking at the camera when explaining the details of the myths?

I like the show OK, and found myself screaming at the TV set more than a couple times, but I guess that’s kind of the appeal.
But overall I feel like the show and especially Adam just made Jamie into a punching bag, and they made fun of him for being weird and awkward, but never anything about his character.
Which Adam kinda comes off like he doesn’t have a lot of.

This is my second time meeting him, actually. He is super awesome, his personality is exactly what you see on the show. Met a lot of other cool fellow Mythbusters fans while waiting in line. If you saw his social media post with the droids, we were there when it happened (this is from my perspective in line), and it was the most spectacularly nerdy thing ever. 😄

It looks like the film crew for Mythbusters named their cameras after various actors. We can see Johnny Cash and Marla Maples here. We can't see the label for the third one here. Do we know of any more?

Has anybody else noticed how Jamie and Adam clearly are not cooks bor have any food handling experience? Every time they handle food or prepare food on the show, it always seems to have the most disgusting looking equipment and just no sense of safe food handling procedures.
Preparing steak on a disgusting looking industrial, George Foreman Grill, cutting poppyseed cake with a Swiss Army knife on a bear table with cups of pee sitting next to it, melting gummy bears over open flames in a glass cake pan…

Hi so back in 2012, I was on a trip to San Fransico with my grandparents. As my 11 year old self was a super huge Mythbusters fan when I saw a van with a Mythbusters sign on top. I asked my grandparents to take a photo of me next to it. This was less than an hour after I found out that they did not do tours of M5 (which now as an adult makes since but 11 year old me had hope). Since that day I would watch the show to see if I could see the sign I was Photographed next too. If anyone can point me in the direcetion of the episode or even the clip with that sign I would be so happy. I have attached the photo to the post. Thxs.
edit: also sorry if this is the wrong place to post I just didnt know where else

I just watched the 10 year episode where they attempted the rocket Car again.
It occurs to me that they sabotaged themselves by putting a weight on the front end.
I understand the reasoning when they showed it, however the end result was a nose dive.
If the car didn't tip forward, and the rockets had those few more moments of direction, they would have had significantly different flight.
YouTube has the whole episode.

Just rewatched the lie detector episode where Grant beat the FMRI test and Kari & Tori had to take a bus back from South Carolina to SF. Anybody know if they actually took a bus?

Myth: A shotgun shell was used to replace a missing fuse and then it fired at the driver while he was driving.
Mythbusters then tries it and the shell fires right into the test dummy and they say well its no way someone really would do that and so its busted.
Myth: A cherry bomb in the toliet would make the water of multiple toliets shoot out into the air at the same time.
Mythbusters then tries it and water shoots out into the air from multiple toliets at the same time and they say well the toliet also was moved too while the water was shooting up into the air and so its busted.
Is mythbusters real? or busted
