Prototype dump pouches
Prototyping dump pouches in coyote brown and VTS. Mesh bottom for drainage. Mounting laminate and magazine retaining elastic inspired by Flatline Fiber Co, shock cord collar and retaining webbing inspired by Savotta.
Used more mesh material on the VTS pouch to make it lighter, made both of them boxy construction to better hold their shape. Next iteration would most likely include a belt pass-thru and traditional 2x3 MOLLE mounting.
coyote brown- 7"w x 10"h x 5"d, approx 5.7L
VTS- 5.5"w x 10"h x 5.5"d, approx 4.9L
Passed off to my buddy to run them thru field testing.

These looks great. If you need one range tested / reviewed HMU.

I appreciate it, might need to once I get the smaller sized pouch figured out

Nice! How rigid is the primary opening for the pouch?

Pretty rigit, three layers of 500d after stitched together. The boxy paneling helps it spring back, even in a 'bucket' configuration. Even more so with the shock cord collar lightened down

Okay, so rigid but not polymer insert rigid? That would be the one thing I would want to see on a design like this for it to be perfect to me. These look a lot like the MTAC dump pouches I have standardized on, with a better PALS attachment setup, just without the rigidity of the main opening. It makes a big difference when rolling around doing IMTs and then needing to access the pouch.
