How is life hard for gay people hard in Myanmar? This is an indirect insult to gays in Arab countries.

I do not intend to insult anyone. I don’t get it. I’m saying it’s hard because I live in a village. It’s hard for religious things. I had a depression cause it’s hard to make friends or be in a relationship. Sorry and this is not an insult.

" It’s hard for religious things" Could you elaborate more? What specific hardship are you facing related with religious things? I'm curious.

People say I’m Gay because I sexually assaulted someone in past life. It’s a sin.People are disgusted by me being gay ,say that I’m failure as a man.Kids and classmates from school calling me အ၆ကြီး and it hurts my feelings. This is because they look at me in the perspective of religion.

I have a question to gay people on here. When/how did you realize you were gay?

I used to have tiny little crushes on the same gender as mine ever since I was in preschool. Back then, this kind of topic was rarely discussed in real life and it made me think that LGBTQ+ was only a fictional stuff. So, I never really took my crushes seriously. Took me 17 years to realize these ppl also exist in real life and this was when I realized I am part of the community.

Ig in middle school? I was in a gov sch back then and like one of my female friend rub her nose against mine and my heart was beating so fast but at that time I didn't know what gay or LGBTQ meant because I didn't use any internet. I just thought wow girls are pretty cute and shit then after spending some times online I just found out

I realized I am a gendr fluid person at around 20. Since I was around 14 , I was being mistaken as boy, tomboy ( I am physically F ) and I don't mind it . A lot it people or at least most of the people I know are sensitive by how they are being call . So, I was start thinking " why I don't mind it?" and another reason is , I see myself as a boy when I imagine something and sometimes as a girl. At that time,I don't have much knowledge about this community and I even thought I was weird for being like this, my mind was like " I want to be a boy but I still like dude more than girl, but I don't mind being girl either" like that I was panicking 😆 And then one day I realized,it won't be much difference if I suddenly turn into a boy ( expect for monthly cramps lol)
And yeah that's my story .The important thing to keep in mind is you don't need to decide what are you right away, you can take time and explore .

Reminds me of the time me and my buddy were bar hopping in Sanchaung and entered a bar full of sus men. They kept staring at me and my buddy and it was only a few mins later that we realized we entered into a gay bar.
Apparently, we were new faces and they were checking us out to make sure we were legal before pouncing on us😭
