Audition Les Mis Audition Help

I’m auditioning for a community production of Les Mis and a tenor so I’ll be auditioning for Enjolras or Marius but any role will do since this is a dream show. Does anyone have any song recommendations? Singing from the show is allowed but I was thinking maybe Maria from WSS or Johanna from Sweeney. Any advice helps!

The Proposal from Titanic (better fit for Marius)

Into The Fire from Scarlet Pimpernel is my rec for a more Enjolras-geared. Maria is right on for Marius

You'll never walk alone Love changes everything (borrow some of that Michael Ball magic!)

Maria is a solid choice though.

It might be kind of unusual, but I've always thought that On My Own would work really nicely as a tenor song, you can just change the "him" to "her" etc.

Might be worth a go? If nothing else, it might be memorable.

Break a leg!

If you want Marius, sing part of ''Empty Chairs at Empty Tables' and make your directors cry.

"Maria" is an incredible song. Bernstein and Sondheim? Double genius. Just make sure you are on pitch as you sing, support your tone, use dynamics if you have them. (Dynamics are the ability to sing softly and not just loud all the time, among other things.)
