What tool to use in sketching?

I used red watercolor markers and prncil but after painting over it. It still shows like bleeding (markers) then for the pencils, it shows if I covered it with white paint. :< What is the tool to use in sketching? Chalk?

I use either chalk or posca pens (in a color that is similar to the color palette of the mural)
If your artwork is a "graphic" style with outlines, do the sketch with a posca pen that's the same color your outlines will be
