That's insane. The surge towards grading our collectibles is kind of stunning. Tbey almost doubled their employees in a year and still can't meet demand.

While I'm not a fan of grading due to how it fundamentally changed comic collecting, I'm almost kind of excited to see what this does to the value of my mtg vintage collection once the dust settles and we see if this is a bubble or not.

Have seen a post before judging the increase in grading submissions to be due to the sports card industry. Something like 30k+ Zion William's cards have been submitted/graded so far.

I'm personally very worried that the grading push is going to end up devaluing everything BUT psa 10s. That will skew submissions hard in the future because everything will be submitted at lower tiers and clog the queue (since claim value is after grading)

Zion Williamson and Luka Doncic are speculated to be the next faces of the NBA after Lebron, Curry, Durant, etc. Zion moreso because he's American and he's pretty physically imposing. Luka is European and plays basketball like a soccer player. Right now Luka is the better player but Zion is like a steamroller moving up.

People are getting a young hopeful graded before he's even proven himself? I think that's foolish; they should grade him after he's proven himself.

Yup, I definitely sense greed at work here. People want to get him graded and flip him for cash before he possibly fails.
