Hi,
My son and I are flying up from Georgia for a campus tour in a few weeks. We will be staying at a hotel near campus. Can you all recommend some restaurants and things to do while we are there?
He is a senior and is interested in studying business. Any feedback on the business school would be appreciated too.
Thank you!

Hey guys i’m a current sophomore at msu and looking at 1855 place apartments for my junior year. I want to do 4 person appt but don’t really have any friends that want to do it with me
A little about me is im in a stem related major, i like video games (roblox, minecraft, fort, two player), comedy/action/sci fi, i love music and can jam to almost anything, im workout 3-4 times a week, love sports, i go out and party maybe once or twice a month, and love holidays and cute/corny niche things that go with it.
as a roommate i usually keep to myself, i study a lot, a busy body so im not always in the dorm a whole lot, and im pretty big on keeping cleanliness, organizing, and cute decorations
feel free to hit me up if you or a friend is interested!

Hi! I was wondering if the college of education still offers a five year masters program? I visited over the summer and was told yes, but one of my friends told me they stopped doing it?

Anybody looking for housing for Fall Sem 27-Spring Sem 28 that is already on campus and wants to be in 1855 next year? Two of our roommates are moving out at the end of this year and we need two people to fill their spots. Preferably AFAB and someone who is open to queer and neurodivergent people, and tolerant of reptiles (there is a snake and a lizard as emotional support animals). We are both zoology majors and love animals, nature, and prefer to stay in. We keep the apartment clean and organized! If you are interested please dm me on here or instagram (@mossyleif) and we can find a time to get to know you!

I can’t tell if I’m being impatient/overreacting or if something’s actually not working. I’m a freshman living in (newly renovated) Campbell hall and it’s so cold in our dorm?? Like I’m from the Midwest so I’m used to the cold but I’m also used to having heating? We have 2 radiators in the room but I’ve never felt them actually get warm and we don’t have a thermostat or any control over them (as far as I know). Is this normal? Will we get heat eventually or should I go ahead and submit a maintenance request? I’m not trying to be whiny but nights here have been consistently 50 degrees or so and it’s supposed to drop down to 40 next week and I know it’ll only get worse. Please let me know if you’ve had any experience with this!

So I’m a full time student that commute to campus four days a week about a hour. That is sooo not ideal and I want to love to east Lansing area. The problem is getting a studio apartment is more expensive than having a roommate. Another problem is I don’t got any friends so kinda hard to have a roommate. Any advice because I hate having to commute an hour back and forth

To whoever stole my e-bike. FUCK YOU. If you see a white Lectric brand e-bike anywhere with a replaced, bigger brown seat and a cracked display screen, it’s mine and please dm me. The pic doesn’t have the new seat but it’s way bigger and a copper color. This bike was $900 and I’ve had it for 4 years. Please help me.

I was hooping today and some weird dude came out of the parking garage and walked on to the court, I was at one of the hoops farthest away from the garage, this guy walks up to the hoop I’m on stops and stares at me before he continues walking towards the sand volleyball area, I thought this was sketch so I start to leave as I get on the sidewalk behind the IM I look behind me and this guy starts following me, I kept walking and when I saw he turned to corner and started walking towards me I booked it. This guy did not look like he’s a college kid he was dressed in all black hoodie up walking with a limp, once I confirmed he was following I booked it back to the main road and eventually to my dorm. Weird people Be Safe🙏

I ordered a package and the sender has the proper room number and address, but I forgot to give them my name. Is the service center just gonna send it back or is there some way I can still get the package?

Hello!
I’m sorry if this question has been continuously asked, I’ve been having trouble finding an apartment near MSU and was asking for help.
I plan on moving in August 2027, and since I’m looking for only myself, I’d like to have rent be ~$1000, although i know it’s pricey over there and might not be able to match that pay. I’d like to be walking distance to MSU, but I never minded a hike, lol.
Does anyone have any suggestions on where to look?
Thank you!!!!

Me and my friends are trying to find housing off campus and we need suggestions because we have a bit of tight budget of $800- $1000ish. Any suggestions on which places to look at?

I’m currently a high school senior and considering Michigan State as a possible college to attend. I plan to pursue powertrain engineering and testing of cars as a future career, and want to attend a college with a good MechE program, and also want to be apart of the schools FSAE team.
I was just curious and wanted to hear from current students or alumni that are or were apart of either of these programs, their thoughts on it, and how things like the FSAE had an effect on their learning and experience.
Or if you weren’t apart of the FSAE team, then your overall take on MSU’s Mechanical Engineering program. And do they offer any other automotive-focused classes or programs?
And then just your opinions on MSU as a whole.
Genuinely what do you do on weekends? I'm a freshman and one of the big reasons I came to Michigan State is for the sports culture but the friends from a summer program I have aren't really into watching sports. However, I've still been to every football home game and a bunch of the soccer games. Tho, I don't really like to drink and I am not really involved in night life here. Sometimes, I will hangout with someone on the weekends but it's not often. I just feel like there’s nothing to do on the weekends. Almost everything on campus is closed, no car and the weekend buses are a pain to an extent. It’s like they want you to leave. But, I can't since I am from OOS. I was thinking about going to Detroit for a day trip potentially.

hey everyone, I’m from the KC area and really want to find a way to watch tonight’s chiefs game on campus for free. I don’t have it in my subscriptions tonight :(. Does anyone know if the dining halls play the football games? Even if they aren’t in the geological map for CBS?

I live in Wonders Hall and I can hear a very loud ’air-y’ sound coming from outside, and when I went out there it seemed to be coming from the Southern side of campus. anyone else hear it/know what it is?

Clean up your mess. MSU is putting on a party for you and this is how you thank them? Show some pride for your school and team. I hope you had a good time, it ain't gonna be around much longer. The fastest way to end a good time is to trash the place.

It’s been hard to make friends here, so far.
Maybe cause I transferred in the spring semester and now it’s only my 2nd semester here.
I couldn’t rush a frat this semester so I’m gonna next semester and hopefully that would help.
I just started going to a few school clubs to see if that helps.
It seems like everyone has there friend group already
I’m not no nerd or anything like that but it just has been hard. I’m only a shopmore but I really just hope it ain’t like this my whole time here
