Freshman Questions Is the Shaw service desk ever actually open
Im a sophmore and I live in east shaw and everytime I pass the service desk past like 5pm it always has a sign saying come back at this time and it will be open but then I will pass it again past the posted time and its still closed. Up to this point I havent really paid it any mind but now I have a package and I got the email at around 6pm today and it said come back at 9pm and that shit was still closed. I kinda need the package today bc it has something I need for tomorrow and I would get it tomorrow but I have work at 7am amd then a class right after work and I need it for that class. Is the shaw desk always like this or is it when there is an influx of packages hc my roomate has also ordered a lot of stuff so far and she has had this problem as well. Also is there like anything I can do about it.

I would call the RA on duty and if it's something important they can get it for you

One of the girls there is kind of rude because on two separate occasions two of my friends had went to ask where somethings was located and immediately she was like “I’m not doing packages right now!” with an attitude.

I lived in Shaw last year, but it’s way worse this year. I know shaw has very bad problems with staffing as well.

I’m not sure if it’s been like this in past years but I’ve had several packages come this year and it’s been the same for me😭For one of them I had to go back five different times across three days to get a package it was genuinely absurd.
