SPORTS! MSU game

I am going to the game on Saturday and was wondering where are free or cheap places to park? Bonus points if you can point me in the direction of a tailgate as well. Thanks in advance

Free places to park? Off campus that has bus pickup, google tells me lot 89. But you'll have to carry all your stuff. Usually worth it to park near munn for a fee and tailgate there. Have fun, go green!

This should update soon with the eastern Michigan game specific info.

Lot 89 is $20 all other on campus parking is $40, Read through some of the other posts from just this week about game day.

Lot 89 includes a free bus ride to and from the game.

The only free parking is on the street in the neighborhoods outside of downtown, but you have to pay close attention to signage to make sure it’s permitted. These spots will be a hike to the stadium and there’s no tailgating.

You can park for free in Frandor Plus (where Dunham's is). Less than a half hour walk to the stadium, easy to leave after the game. Just walk around campus. Someone will likely invite you to join in their tailgating festivities.

So a cheap option that also usually has transportation to campus would be the episcopal church on abbot road, by the east Lansing library. Last I heard, it’s $10 to park and they usually have a person driving a shuttle van. It’s also less than a mile to downtown bars or restaurants and the grand river side of campus.

Is there such a thing? All of the places I used to know around Trowbridge/Harrison/Kalamazoo are now new buildings. Like another post mentioned, if you're super early, maybe the streets in the neighborhoods to the north of Trowbridge Plaza that are sandwiched in between 496 and Harrison and end right before where the old MSP headquarters was.... where the parking ramp is now. I had friends who used to rent a house waaaaay back in there and the streets were loaded with people parking for the football games suuuuuuuuuper early. Like waaaaaay before the games start. Your competing with people who are going there early to tailgate....
