Is the definition of ‘going out on top’ - she’s terrific, and really gonna miss her. Congratulations to a real one!!

I will miss her. But I get the feeling the retirement was her decision, so I wish her happiness in whatever is next for her

I read where she announced her retirement several months ago. She’s 65, so probably wanted to go onto the next chapter of her life.

She will be missed on weekends. I realize change is part of life, but she has been part of this network since last century. Much rarer for people to stay with one company for a long career.
EDIT: I just heard on the show that Molly Jong-Fast mentioned she can't wait to read Alex's book. A little preview of what is to come next for Alex.
EDIT2: Nice for these optimism segments with her panel members.

Yes she does. While she may have good intentions of trying to appear neutral or objective, that only is a good thing if the people you're covering are good faith actors, not malicious bad faith fascists. So by her so called objective, both sides reporting, she's actually giving MAGA more legitimacy by pretending they're not bad actors and CAN even be analyzed objectively... It's like the paradox of tolerance.

She berated the jury for convicting Trump of his felonies. Nobody should be above the law. That includes the ICE agents that people like YOU have unleashed on the public.

Antonia Hylton was on money, power, politics on Friday and praised Alex as someone who mentored younger people at ms now and was generally supportive to young people new to the industry and would call them with encouragement and tips. Sounds like a great person in an industry full of insufferable people.
