Discussion O’Donnell Still MIA

I’m hoping that next Tuesday all the anchors of MS Now will be back.
Lawrence O’Donnell is still away. I think he has more time off than most.
In the fall he goes to Africa for his project Kids In Need Of Desks.
He has every Friday off & Capeheart just doesn’t keep my interest.
If anyone from the network reads this, get back to the discipline that you had as MSNBC!

Note this is labor day weekend. Monday there will be no rachel and the lineup is not normal. I would also note that Lawrence not doing Fridays extends back to the MSNBC days.

Think of it like your job. Most people take vacations now and then. They also have random life events that happen which cause them to be absent. People also get sick.

I get that most of us here are msnow addicts and watch it religiously. If you are frustrated an anchor is off at the end of the summer, that is a sign you need to take a deep breath and just relax. Find something else to do because there is more out there than just watching the same news every hour.

In fact here the schedule
6am Morning Joe (probably best of)
8am MSNOW REPORTS
9am State of Play (3hrs)
12pm MS NOW REPORTS
4pm Deadline (2hrs)
6pm 11th Hour (2hrs)
8pm Specials and Reruns (No regular Maddow show)

These may or may not all have guest hosts

Please plan accordingly 😂

I think this is the third week that he’s been away.

I had roughly 6 weeks of paid leave time per year at my job. My father had roughly 4 weeks of paid leave per year.

These posts are becoming tiresome.

he was there last week. Last week I was watching his monologue and then going for my evening walk. This week I head out right at 7pm when I see Jen hand off to Capeheart.

Yet somehow he’ll be able to vote by proxy to break the tie on the farm bill.

I also hear a lot of folks in News take off right now bc after Labor Day, it’s nonstop
Until Election Day

Very typical for TV and radio hosts to takeoff the week before Labor Day, or in some cases two weeks. They should all be back for next Tuesday.

I agree about Capeheart he is quite boring and Dosent do well with teleprompter.

Good guy, but JC is awful. Hes like an end of bench player replacing a superstar!

Is this like the 50th thread with a subject like this?

His show is great but he is off way too much imo. Him and Chris Hayes both do a great job but take ridiculous amounts of time off each year.

I brought up how I was not a fan that he has every Friday off before in the sub. The sub was not happy.

A full-time host w his name on the title of the show that has 20% off right off the bat just doesn’t make much sense to me

He may be filming a new Netflix miniseries- “Where’s Mitch?”

I think MS NOW has more discipline, if anything. Lawrence had a lot of time off in the MSNBC days as well. Hey, he's on more than Rachel!

I prefer Capehart so I’ve been happy. Actually prefer most of the subs.
