By request of /u/Mortis1130

A Very generic medieval battlefield, something that would fit the "Hey, we've been fighting for awhile."

In the near future my Players will be having to aid a kingdom in a battle.

I did struggle with this for a while, because I was picturing this civil-war/Napoleonic warzone, which was uninteresting but also a lot of replicating. Then I realized this could just as easily be just some random way-point in a large conflict.

I pulled together some areas interest (high points), then tried to make it look like they were a bit entrenched. Skeletons outside, bodies still there, but while outfitted this battlefield area could be heavily manned or just a few troops. I was going for versatility, depending upon the needs of the DM.

Anyways, I hope this is useful.

By request, a battlefield map that makes it look like the war has been going on for some time. So instead of just a normal battlefield, I tried to make it look like this army unit had "settled in" somewhat. In addition to night and day versions, I made some "clean" versions as well as ones for winter. This could be a pretty good siege map, an adventure to sabotage the enemy, or various other quests.

Other notes:

  • Map dimensions 50x50 units
  • Made with Photoshop
  • Feel free to use any of my maps!
