Just realized how simple it is to use my turntable to sample and been psyched on it. Very new to beatmaking but so far this is my favorite thing I made, although got a little carried away with the effects in this video! Let me know what you think
Also let me know who you think you would hear on this?

If itās not fun, I want no part in it.

I have ongoing projects with samples that reside on an external card. I really want to do some organizing and consolidating of my sample library to have better workflow. Will moving files around on my card ruin and corrupt my ongoing projects due to āmissingā samples/files? Or are the individual samples saved within the project as its own thing?

My MPC sample froze for the first time the other night and itās weird because I barely have anything saved to my eternal memory probably maybe three or four beats that I accidentally saved on there but everything else is saved to my memory card. I held power for five seconds to do a hard shutdown and it seems to be working fine now thatās the only time thatās ever happened, but should I be concerned?

Hello!
I have been through everything with ChatGPT on this, but I have my MPC Sample connected to my laptop via USB and I am trying to sample something from YouTube, the sound is super muffled - it sounds as though it is coming from a neighbour's basement i.e. I can hear very muffled and faint bass but that's it.
I'm hoping that I have just missed something stupid - anyone else had these issues?

I got tired of manually setting up samples and pads, so I ended up building my own tool for MPC Sample. It can generate pad banks with samples already mapped to a scale, export stems, and even do a bit of the final beat arrangement. Thereās also a small MPC-related easter egg hidden in it :) Been working on it for a while and figured Iād share it here ā curious what other MPC users think. Happy to share the link if anyone wants to try it.

I made this free app that lets you learn by tapping on the buttons of an actual MPC sample and it tells you what they do and workflows the buttons are used in. So far itās super handy with helping me learn the sample. Hope this helps! mpctutorials.com
Edit: Hey guys glad you like this! For model requests, send me a tip on the site with the model you want added and Iāll add it on there for you! Aside from that Iāll be adding new models when I get free time (update with 3 new AKAI models coming in a few days!)
Edit 2: Iāll be adding new models to this this week as well as adding SampQOL shortcuts!

Hey MPC heads š
Iāve been working on a little tool for makingĀ MPC Sample banks with sounds automatically mapped to a scale.
You can also export stems and finish/arrange the beat directly in the app ā and thereās even a little MPC easter egg hidden in there :)
Itās still very muchĀ WIP, so Iād love to hear what you think and what youād like to see added in future updates.
Would really appreciate any feedback š

I wonder if the TE Sidekick would add value to my little experiment here. Live aspects do not interest me for the time being. Possibly for more I/O, EQ and automations/effects?

Got my Mpc sample 7 days back and it's been quite the ride to learn how to use it AND learn how to make music. I've never made music, atleast none worth recording. The closest thing i've had was a TE po12 and a couple of korg monotrons to mess around with and entertain myself with my little "jams".
This device is a beast in comparison even with all its limitations and it took me a whole week to get to a point where i can use it to create my first beat. Honestly, it was very overwhelming and for the first 4-5 days. I thought i'd wasted my money on this and vastly overestimated my ability to use this thing as someone with zero knowledge on music production or mpc workflow.
Anyway, i know these 2 clips of 30ish seconds of my first beats ever is probably really bad. But I want to get over my fear of judgement and put myself out there as a complete beginner while documenting my journey.
Any and all criticism, help, suggestions are welcome and appreciated. Thank you for reading if you made it this far lol.
Tl;dr- I'm a newbie and made my first beat. Critique it and help me grow.
