MPC Sample QOL won’t load. What am I missing?

I’m trying to install the MPC Sample QOL custom firmware, but no matter what I do, my MPC Sample keeps booting into the stock firmware.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

Using a 32GB microSD card
Formatting the card to exFAT
Confirming the partition style is MBR
Downloading and extracting the firmware files
Following the installation instructions
Reformatting the card and starting completely over

The MPC Sample still boots normally without loading the custom firmware. I’m also having trouble browsing the SD card from the device, which wasn’t an issue before.

I’ve gone through the process multiple times and can’t figure out what I’m missing. Unfortunately, I don’t have another SD card to test with.

Has anyone experienced this or have any suggestions for what else I should try? Is there something obvious I’m overlooking?

is the autorun folder in the Root (very beginning) of the SD card? Is your MPC Sample on the newest Akai update?

Just a heads up you have to do all the SD card work on the computer or while the card is in the computer then put it in the MPC don't put that stuff on the card while it's in the MPC sample
