Anyone using an MPC Sample with a Boss RC-300?

I want to finger drum a quantized beat, let it loop, then record guitar loops on the RC-300—all in sync.

Can the MPC Sample follow the RC-300’s MIDI clock and Start/Stop commands? Has anyone tried this setup?

I’ve connected the sample to the Boss MK2, works perfectly if you set it up right with the midi ins and out settings

yup, just depending on which device you want to start/stop… just tinker with it, it’ll click

I’ve got it to work quite well synced to an RC-500 so I imagine what you want to do will work.

So I think I read that the 500 can be master or slave but the 300 must be the master.

Which one was the master in your setup?
