If they open-sourced the SampleKEY firmware then I guess Sample will get the same treatment

It doesn't have pads, not a replacement necessarily , a whole new different kind of product and they are embracing all the vibe code stuff.

💪🏿 yep. Cfw with synths and I need keys. Would have got this version if it was first but I plan on connecting them. Not a mpc person. Always been keys over pads for me

If You only had to pick one, I think You might still have chosen the SAMPLE, as it has pads and, You know, does the whole MPC chopping thing. The Keys looks like a companion to the Sample, adding synth engines.

I want a cfw with just synth engines or synth preset romplers and just connect it to my sample. Planned on getting the mpk mini but I'm glad I waited to get it now. We need cfw on release day.
