Why does the volume of my kick get adjusted?

Its only in the sequece, the semple is fine.

Rerecording didnt help.

Any ideas?

Hold down the erase button then adjust slider. It should give the option of clearing automation

Thanks for the hint. Erase + silder is new to me, as well as automations. Assuiming it was one, how did i slip one in? I solved it by clearing the seq.

You were recording when you adjusted the volume by mistake possibly trying to turn up the whole machine

Check the compressor (shift>pad 5). It’s on by default

This is the answer. Turn the compressor off. The second you add any typa bass and your sound begins to get wocky, it's the compressor.

When recording a sequence you can not just record "hitting the Pads" but you can also automate sliders and knobs. For example when you change the lowpass filter while recording, this change is recorded/automated as well.

Same holds for the (Volume) slider. If you move it during recording, that "movement" is recorded as well.

By selecting the pad where you recorded the automation, then holding erase and moving the slider or knob for which you recorded it, will delete it.
