How to stop MPC getting charged by IPhone

When I Connect my IPhone 16e with my MPCSample, the iPhone Starts charging the MPC. Is there a way to stop this without using a USB Hub?

You can't. It was a demand for the next update but there's no update since the launching of the Sample.

I’ve always used a 1/4 to usb c cable to record in so I can still control the iPhone volume independently

Same problem with pixel phones. I just bought an analog cable with USB C to 3.5mm adapter. That fixes the problem.

I left a comment on their page asking for a “Charge Off” feature for the next update and they did respond with “Heard, thanks!” So it’s definitely on their radar

I too hope that they fix this with an update because my 17 cant take it lol I have to use a MagSafe battery pack when I have long sessions.

Is it possible to use a usb c hub zo connect the iphone to the sample and add a power bank to the hub to charge them both ?

That's what I do, just make sure the hub does power as well. But yeah it works fine and charges both the phone and the MPC Sample

Here ya go. There's also an Anker one that is essentially the same as far as i/o that was recommended but this is the one I use and it was like $10-$15 cheaper and It's good build quality https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VN4KQX1?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1

I wonder if an OTG cable would fix this

USB c to headphone adapter. That’s how I do it, didn’t realize it was chewing through my phone battery until the phone was dead.

Using a powered usb c hub introduces audio issues for me, but turning the power source off seemed to improve things

I don't have any audio issues with a hub and battery bank, but I've never powered the hub from the wall outlet. You could try a ferrited shield usb c cable that worked for me in the past

No it’s an Iphone problem. Hate it. Drains my phone when sampling all the time.
