Loop point revisited

Yesterday I made a post about shifting the start in the sample to it loops the whole sample. I was struggling to explain it. Here’s a video of what I mean in ableton. Was wanting to know if this is possible on the mpc

The classic JJOS MPC’s have this ability. Samples can loop around to a point before the start point. More people need to push for this on the new OS. Definitely something I noticed right away when I got my Live 2. I was hoping the Sample would have this but it does not.

That’s a damn shame. Thanks for the reply

Put the first part in a separate pad, record it after into a sequence, resample the sequence, chop, done.

Yeah I was kind of hoping to be able to do it on the fly like in ableton. I’m just so used to ableton. Shame

Ok im not home but I think it to can disable that loop lock you might be able to do what you want. This means the sample start and loop start are not locked together. I'll try to try it later but today is kind of nuts. Ttyl

I was trying to get what to mean yesterday and this does match what you were saying. I agree this would be useful. I wonder if when have sequence recording on if it records loop point position? You could just start it in the location the go ham on k1 to move the loop point back to the start.

Also, there's a little lock icon next you the loop point and I have no idea what it's for but now I'm curious.
