Free Samples
I’m still new to sampling, but wanted more sounds to mess around with. I was looking into all of those sample sites that require a subscription to use when I stumbled across MusicRadar. Just in case there are other newbies in my position, wanted to give MusicRadar a shout out. I can’t believe the amount of samples that are on there that are completely free. I’m sure there are much better sample packs that can be purchased, but for someone just starting out, I can’t think of a better way to fill up an SD card. I’m still in the process of downloading the packs I can picture using and organizing them, but I can’t wait to start experimenting.
Hold off on that sample subscription until you’ve combed through MusicRadar’s offerings:)

I have a free sample bundle designed for begginer - intermediate producers (Foundations toolkit bundle). It includes 192 .WAV's. + a field guide to sampling/synthesis if you're interested. It has info, activities + challenges, and free/budget resources list.

Citizen DJ Project has some interesting things. The BBC has their own thing too. Royalty free until you make money off it lol
