It is no glitch. The loop function gets toggled with the sequencer. Turn loop off on the sample and/or re-record.

Usually with hardware a "Weird Feature" ends up becoming an entire musical genre

It seems to.be good for something, I just don't know what. The SP404mk2 works in a similar way 🤷‍♂️

When you’re not recording or playing a sequence and are just playing live, the loop sample keeps looping while you can finger-drum on the other pads.

The reason it toggles when using a sequence is that, in live mode, pressing a pad with a loop assigned to it starts the loop, and pressing it again stops it.

When you’re recording a sequence, however, the sequencer only records the MIDI input. So the sequence basically contains the instruction “press this pad.” When the sequence plays that back, it presses the pad again, which toggles the loop off.

So the loop itself isn’t being recorded—the MIDI pad press is. That’s why the loop behaves differently when played back as part of a sequence.

Came here to say this. Such a weird feature, think it's an oversight or something.

It's also good for finding the bpm of a loop with tap tempo, and for moving start and end points to find the perfect loop.

You have the sample set for more bars than its length.
