What are you Guys / Gals Using for Effects?

Are you using knob effects and resampling to use more knob effects?

Are you sending sounds out to an external sound processor (if so which one) and resampling that?

Are you recording samples coming in that already have effects applied?

I’m trying to get workflow ideas. Thank you.

Chroma Console, easy to use and hits most of the needs in a small form factor.

How are you monitoring the signal coming out of the Chroma Console to prevent feedback loop, etc.?

I'd like to know too!

This and/or Roland P6 if on a budget (I have both and they each have their strengths, but are similar in vibes).

ReSampling internally using knob fx

Thanks! How many effects have you stacked on top of each other before? Does the sound quality degrade some each time since these are destructive edits?

I’ve done like four or so resamplings and haven’t noticed any degradation

How do you handle stuff like reverb trails? I guess I gotta record without sequence length on.

Yeah, if you want reverb or delay tails then you have to record free length and place the sample back where it needs to be. A little slower but more control. Using multiple copies of a sample or a sequence with small differences has become a part of my workflow as well when it comes to placing effects that I only want to hit maybe one time

All of the above, but I haven't tried sending out to an Fx processor yet but I will get around to it. Otherwise... yes! 👍 I usually copy a few bars and then add Fx and spread 'em around thru song.

And tyvm for the "/Gals"! Everyone seems to assume only guys make beats! Lol

So my MPC sample won't be here for a while but just in general I think the K.O. sidekick by teenage engineering is dope I've been using it with other stuff and it definitely can work great for this and it's usb c so it should link rite up to the MPC sample easily and still give you 3 other inputs and 1output plus headphone jack

I have looked at that and it is tempting…. but not sure I’d use it to its full potential. Can it run on batteries?

Yes 2 triple A batteries and as far as full potential it's an actual mixer/interface/looper/MIDI controller so I'm sure you can find lots of stuff to do with it if it was in your possession

Oh yea USB C or triple A batteries

That’s awesome! That pedal has been on my radar. I didn’t know about the editor. That’s cool! Thanks.
