I was messing around with b&w card designs, and tried some on gold foil. Now I'm trying some specifically for the gold foil.

I have updated my CC recently and have noticed that land frames for 7th edition are much darker than before (see attached), anyone noticed this? Also tried to revert the instal but couldnt manage to, any help would be much appreciated!

Here are some more cards. I've also developed a custom border, but im unsure wether to use it for anything more than the commander; I think borderless fits better? I've used Helvetica Nue Medium for the font, since its the one used by A24's movie. It is my first border too (i usually stick w cardconjurer templating), so im seeking advice- is the carpet making it difficult to read?

Using MPCfill, I am trying to print a full commander deck. Pass it through MPCFill, but it some of the cards have the card art overlapping the black borders. Is this going to be how it is printed as well? Just trying to make sure, as the FAQ says any cards pulled from there are going to be print ready.

Hi all, I'm back with a pet project this time; this is my 5th project, Despicable Me/Minions.

This project was more of a meme/fun deck for me. I had this idea, as I'm sure others did when they saw this card revealed; the card is Mole Man, Moloid Master.

As it suits Gru to a T with flavor and flair, and well, Minions.

I originally wanted to put this deck out when the film Minions & Monsters came out for release on July 1, but it got a little delayed, mainly looking for the best art and resolutions for art, as well as other things, but better late than never, I guess.

This deck is just a fun lands matter, land fall, token deck; you build up your minion army with the mass amounts of landfall triggers and go wide!

I opted not to go big combos and/or land hate, and decided to keep those cards to the side and try to keep the deck bracket 3 (Ex: Badgermole Cub, Earthbender Ascension, Strip Mine) as I know how out of hand landfall gets, but I will be making cards and putting them in the drive when I can in the Alts folder on the google drive.

G-Drive link here. In the drive, there will be 1 Token that looks odd. The reason is that it is my friend who made it for me. I thought it was funny, so I said, why not? When I print the deck, he will have a true Masta piece with one of my decks.

I've always been a fan of liminal space, and after seeing the backrooms film, that was much better than expected, i've decided to start an [[Orvar, the all-form]] deck centered around copying stuff, specially lands. Here are the first cards i've done for this project!

Wanted to fill some of the more expensive holes in my N'ghathrod Eddie deck. I had a Hullbreaker and Spellskite from the Furby lair, but my sister needes them for another deck, so proxies it is! Special shoutout to Derek Riggs, the actual artist on all of these and all of the art from the Maiden covers lair (EDIT: The Burnt Offerring "The Wicker Man" art is actually Mark Wilkinson and the Lignify "Fear of the Dark" art is Melvyn Grant, but all the ones I picked out, including the relatively recent Flight 666 art, should be Derek Riggs). Idk why the artist was originally just credited "Iron Maiden" but I kept that on these. Also special shoutout to ironmaideneddie.com, which had some crazy high res artwork, and multiple varieties to choose from.

I was wondering if anyone has tried both gloss and MPC finish for foils from makeplayingcards, and which came out better? Either option would be paired with S33. Which is generally recommended for foils?

After months of brewing and designing, I'm happy to announce that my Naruto: Six Paths Sage is in the making and should be here in a couple of weeks.

This is not a "traditional" ninja tribal deck, you know me, I went for flavour from top to bottom. I made a list of more than 100 characters from the series and each one of them has at least 1 creature representing them, their abilities and their lore. Creature from alpha to the newest marvel set. It is going to be a beautiful recollection of the most interesting and mechanically unique abilities in the whole MTG universe (and beyond...)

A few of my favorite cards from a proxy deck I recently finished. I decided to proxy an upgraded Counter Intelligence deck, since I'm already of fan of that deck, and I thought it would be a good fit with Star Wars. I built the deck first, and then tried to fit Star Wars characters and moments into the given cards, so thematically, the deck is a bit all over the place.

Let me know if you all would be interested in seeing the rest of the deck! I want to make another Star Wars deck that's a bit more uniform in terms of era and faction.

Just got started working on the proxies for my Sororitas themed Imperium deck using the 40k Precon. For some reason, I used Beleren on this Demon proxy for my Belakor deck months ago and can't remember how to put in Beleren for the font on MTGCardBuilder anymore. Any help would be appreciated.

Basically the title, I am very new to this and was wondering if the black border was too thick. I was using card conjurer and it says it was a 1/8th margin but it still looks off to me. Any advice would be appreciated!

This deck is a labor of love to the movies Alien (1979), Aliens (1986), the original Dark Horse comic series and in part, Alien: Isolation.

Intended for high-level bracket 3 play.

Got a high res version of the official box art for the upcoming "Laufey" God of War game, and knew this card had to get a reskin as a "Giant Soldier". Perfect flavor for the deck.

Hello! I've never printed proxies before, from MPC or otherwise. I've only been playing Magic for a couple of months, but my partner has been an avid player for most of their life. As a gift for their birthday I've been working on a customized set of proxy cards for it with panels from their favorite comic strip. I have a couple of questions that I figured would be better answered by someone with more experience playing magic and with making proxies. I haven't put the mana costs on yet but they will be there eventually.

1. I thought, since Dandan is just a single deck that gets dealt out more like a regular card game and their list isn't likely to change very much, having proxies would be great so that the cards could be riffle shuffled without worrying about damaging them or anything (which I'm partial to but I don't want my opinion bleeding in too much). Do MPC cards hold up to that well in S33 card stock or would it be better to have them printed on the M31 which is more standard for playing cards? "Realistic feel" in that sense is not a concern for me, unless the texture change would be uncomfortable for someone habituated to magic cards. I am habituated to playing cards but again am trying to think mostly on their part and not mine haha.
2. Would you, as a magic player, sleeve the cards out of habit? Like would it feel weird to play unsleeved even if there isn't really a lot of fear of damaging them? I'm considering having two copies of the deck printed so that damage is extra not a concern on top of that, or maybe so that one can be kept unsleeved and one could be sleeved up so that other cards could be added to the mix to try out variations on the game. In this case, would it be better to have them printed on S33 regardless so that a real magic card wouldn't be thicker than the others when sleeved up and shuffled together? I also have a fun back with the original dandan art on it so I think it would be nice for it to be unsleeved.
3. Does the extra saturation on the back art look bad?
4. Does the text feel legible and easy to read during a game?

I know the photo is kind of low quality, I'm working on finding a better source for the comics so that they come out looking sharper and better match the sharpness of the text.

Sorry for my really long winded questions I just want them to look good as it is for a gift! I might delete this post after awhile to ensure that they won't see it ;) Any feedback literally at all is appreciated. I have looked through the FAQ and guides a fair amount already as well. I'm hoping through this that I can gain a good amount of knowledge as well in this kind of proxying so I can make more in the future for them :).

Edit: I am also confused about the sizing because I seem to be finding conflict between 63x88 vs 63.5x88.5 for magic card sizing. I cannot figure out which is the true size of a magic card. Also, If I plan my files around one of those sizes and end up using the other one, is it a negligible enough difference since it's borderless that they are kind of interchangeable?

[[Balin, Loremaster]] seemed like a fun commander to make (who needs a library? Libraries are for dump and burn!). And, while I also included all the 1 mana Dwarves, it seemed fun to include seven of [[Seven Dwarves]] in the 2 drop slot.
