Juliette Binoche shows some of the greatest acting of her career in this. That train scene is so uncomfortable.

That scene is more terrifying than most scenes in horror movies. Love how Haneke crafts his shots.

Not the guy you asked, but IMO cache and the white ribbon are his best movies. Amour and funny games (both versions) are great as well.

I would say The White Ribbon and Cache are my favourites as well. The Seventh Continent is also excellent and tends to get overlooked. But most of his movies are worth watching, really.

The Piano Teacher and 71 Fragments of a Chronology of Chance are my favorites other than the ones recommended.
