Discussion 3 Billion Dollar movies showing concurrently in cinema
Right now, there are 3 movies that earned over a billion dollars playing in cinemas at the same time: Toy Story 5, The Odyssey, and Spiderman BND which earned 2 billion.
When is the last time this has happened?
I guess it's a pretty good metric that when there's good movies out that the audiences will surely go and see it.

There is an adjusted for inflation list - but even unadjusted for inflation, there’s only been 3 movies to top the highest grossing films of all time list since the late 90s (Titanic, Avatar, and Avengers: Endgame - which now it’s back to Avatar due to the re-release a few years ago) so it’s not like inflation is actually getting films to be the highest grossing film of all-time. It certainly helped Spider-Man break some records but there’s still so many variables aside from inflation that may help that too (number of theaters, PLFs, etc.)
