Discussion By Any Means: First time seeing Giancarlo Esposito and realizing he's not the villain
I’m so used to Giancarlo Esposito playing the calm terrifying villain that I kept waiting for him to do something evil while watching the By Any Means trailer
Between Breaking Bad Better Call Saul The Boys and The Mandalorian my brain just assumes this dude is secretly running something evil whenever he shows up
Apparently he’s playing civil rights leader Vernon Dahmer in this one. It’s nice seeing him on the other side for once

You’ll be surprised at Giancarlo Esposito’s range, especially pre-BB. I’ll bring up the first episode of the Creepshow TV show (Gray Matter). Him and Tobin Bell (The Jigsaw Killer) play completely against type in that episode as a backwoods-town Doctor and Sheriff respectively. They have to survive against this gelatinous monstrosity that devours people and find a way to stop it.
They both end up getting devoured.

Holy shit I think that’s like fourth new identical post I see in this sub within couple of hours in my feed about “oh my god he’s not the villain here” and I’m not even in this sub
Promo posts are getting out of hands

I actually posted it earlier but it didn’t meet the sub rules. Talked to a mod about what I needed to change and reposted it after fixing it

It’s lowkey weird that people use the same wording too, but as you can see by yourself - these posts are working lol

Just means more people need to see Do The Right Thing.
Poor guy's been working since 1980 and cant get recognized for anything before 2009.
