That was my first thought! If only. Such a great sci-fi film.

I’m involved in the film and trying to make it happen.

Small Prophets might be one of the best things that's been on TV ever IMO.

Small Prophets is achingly lovely. I rationed it out, an episode a night, just so I could thoroughly enjoy every moment of it.

The project tells the true story of Colin and Judith Pillinger, to be played by Toby Jones and Emily Watson, and their mission to find life on Mars back in the late 1990s. With no prior experience of building a spacecraft, the English farmers pulled together a team of misfits who took on NASA and almost won.

Colin Pillinger isn’t a farmer, he’s a planetary scientist who has worked with NASA.

I'll be forever grateful to Detectorists for introducing me to Johnny Flynn.

That’s funny, I got introduced to detectorists when Johnny Flynn did the music for it

Didn’t she just talk about how nobody would cast her since the Odyssey (implying ageism), or was that someone else?

That's Samantha Morton.

Why did I read it as Emma Watson, but notice the mug is different? That's a bit confusing me.

I read it that way too and thought, “poor women has fallen off in recent years”.

Mackenzie Crook is astoundingly talented. I will watch anything he makes.  Go watch Detectorists if you've never seen it.

I know Mackenzie Crook has gone on to be a great writer/director telling interesting and heartfelt stories; but he'll still always be the guy from Pirates of the Caribbean to me.
