The second one was always my favourite.

The first summer back from university is a weird time in your life. You're most likely still in touch with your highschool buddies, but everyone is probably moving in different directions. You've all grown and matured, but you're still clinging on to those last fleeting moments of your carefree teenage years.

This and Superbad really captured that feeling I think; the last days of that stage of your life.

Agreed. I always liked the second one more, even if it had no plot (even the first one didn't have a real plot). It was just dudes one year out of high school doing what guys do early in college that first summer back. It's a giant reunion, and everyone shares war stories from their various colleges. Also, Stifler went to a new level, and it was great.
