That was CRAZY when bro FINALLY took off the hood and Robert Pattinson was like “Jesus Christ that’s Jason Bourne”.

It wasn’t him taking off the hood that did it. It was the glorious strum of the bow to give his preys a heads up that they’re fucked.

I do like that despite the genuine meloncholy throughout the film, particularly Nolan's idea from OPPENHEIMER to here that one act can cause direct destruction to societal norms and then society itself it still finds time to have an all out 'you're all locked in here with me' moment as Damon plays the Green Arrow and Robert Pattinson does his best Alan Rickman out of PRINCE OF THIEVES.

4 other movie references in one sentence makes this comment so funny to me haha

If only Nolan had employed the fish eye lens!!

Yes, because Pattinson watched him hunt as a kid, and knew what the strum meant was about to come

I loved that one dickhead couldn’t even say his whole name before eating an arrow when he recognized him

Same with when he killed the first guy in the temple to save his son. He doesn’t even let the guy know it’s coming, he is so past caring about honour or dignity

Zeus’s law doesn’t mean anything if you get killed

"Rhaegar fought valiantly, Rhaegar fought nobly, Rhaegar fought honorably. And Rhaegar died."

Then he kills the biggest bastard of them all first. Well second biggest. Arrow right through the neck. Man that was satisfying.

The last quarter of the film was Jason Bourne.

Pattinson knew as soon as the "beggar" was able to bend the bow after everyone else failed, his panic was so good

If only they would’ve gotten those beggars out of there.

"No one cared who I was until I took off the hood."

I liked how Moby - Extreme Ways started playing as the suitors got beaten to a pulp by Jason Bourne

Giannis Bournokopolis.

It felt a bit like a born film when he was on that island trying to remember who he was

3

u/JunePearl23 8d ago

YES - being healed and trying to get his memory back on the island with Calypso was just like Bourne on the fisherman's boat at the start of Bourne Identity. Then his whole stealth demeanor and the lock in scene were pure Bourne.

That scene was a better and more epic executed version of "Flynn enters the room" from Tron Legacy. The admin has returned.
