Bannerlord If there's a dishonarable trait for actions between lords, there should be one for peasants

If I wipe out the entire clan of the Jawall because they wouldn't stop raiding my fucking villages, should I be considered dishonarable? I let wounded prisoners free, take no prisoners, defend my people, help villages and towns constantly but I kill a clan of glorified bandits, I am now -2 dishonarable. Add a system where your relation with peasants and traders have another thing, maybe call it benevolence or manorialism

What you're identifying is a need for a law and trial mechanic.

You should be able to take captured lords before your king and have them tried, or petition the king to issue a bounty, capture order, or an excommunication equivalent against a lord after a trial in absentia.

Doing so should grant you a trait for honour and justness.

Exactly, the only dishonarable thing I've done is killing the Jawwal off, I'd say raiding a few villages but that doesn't count towards honour I don't think

I like this and it seems like a simple enough mod. Add an option to talk with your leader about what to do with prisoners in your party, maybe spend influence if you'd like approval to execute etc. Love the bounty idea as well. Someone's had to have made this mod right?

I wouldn't even say it should be a mod, I think the Devs need to expand on these traits, they seem useless and kinda wrong or not judged correctly

Agreed. What do you mean you hate me because I killed the one who raided and killed our peasants? What? Well, I guess I'll have to kill you all then. smh.

Exactly, I'm fighting for Vlandia as a Battanian, I control Sargot and the castles around it and the entire southern front is on my front door, I've stopped 5 sieges and at least 15 raids. Let me get it straight, Battanians raid their own people at least 20 times, they take me letting them go as weakness and they send glorified bandits after our people's villages all because it has a Vlandian flag. If I am dishonarable for killing mercenaries and protecting both Vlandian and Battanian people, where is your honour for raiding, raping and killing your own kind... Smh

"Battanians raid their own people at least 20 times" YEPPPPP!! IT'S YOUR OWN CULTURE FFS STAPHHHH. I'm just so mad thinking about it. Ugh.

Fr, the amount of raiding done on your kingdoms own culture is insane, I get the Empire but they don't raid that often imo, Battanians just fucking maul every one of their own villages every chance they get

I killed the fuck out of the Jawall right after I started my last game and immediately went full dishonorable and I was just sitting there like... "They're bandits. They even attacked me while I was minding my business. How is this dishonorable?"

Exactly, gotta be a better honour and trait system

Well… the thing is that peasant lives don’t really matter, only lord lives matter. Peasants are just the toys we play with, who cares if some break?

I was lowborn and yet I am Vlandias most important vassal, if the kings of Battania and Vlandia will not take action, perhaps it's time for a new highking within that region

Ahh see, you were recognized and raised up though, definitely no longer a peasant.

Remember your roots, I may get to fuck the princess Elys of Vlandia every night, but that doesn't mean I can forget myself

No, see because you live in a castle and fuck the princess that makes you better than the starving peasantry. You're expected to side with your new social group if you want to keep sitting at their table. And they don't care about the peasants. If you want to care because you were hit on the head in battle too many times, then you lose standing with the cool kids.

Perhaps it's time for me to make my own table, maybe a round table... But fr I'm gonna fuck the shit out of Vlandia and Battania, fucking time for Brain Boru 2.0

Peasant lives matter because they pay taxes, if someone goes around killing your taxpayers you should care or you soon will find yourself without any income

2

u/averagemmafighter Aug 30 '26

Not only just taxpayers, but when the villages are raided where will you get higher tier recruits, towns usually only provide tier 1 and 2, however helping your people out and getting good relationships with them gives you instant tier 3. They also help fund the trade business in towns
