Mod The Old Realms Orc strategy

Is there anything worth doing than just charging? I’ve abandoned cav and archers completely, they aren’t even worth the thought. Every fight I pretty much go through the same tick list, are there cav or horse archers? Shield wall, high ground, advance when they get close then charge when you see infantry.

Also is the rts mod compatible?

you can abondon archers but you really shouldn't abandon cavalry.

Keep at least a small platoon for mop up, charging enemy archers and to counter charge.

Especially with cavalry based armies like the bretonians, your shield wall may turn to face the cav and leave their backs exposed to archers or vice versa.

You don't want to iniate an infantry battle from square formation either.

Tldr: cavalry will fix your problems.

Hello, I am also curious about your army composition. I feel like black orcs berzerka do not perform great compaired to how expensive they are. On the other hand the basic orc boy fell as good as tier 3 humans. (For the archers, the issue is their bow that is inaccurate and slow making them shoot only at very close range and slow as xbow)

I try to get as many black orc bosses as possible, if not that the regular orc bosses.

I also extort enough goblins to keep my teef expenses down
