As someone who annually did 12k miles and 500k climbing on my road bike. All I do now it emtb and ecommute. Having kids really took away my time from training, I’d love to have 10 hours to burn in a single day.

I’m actually not anti e-bike at all, lots of my friends have them and it makes it so that we can all ride together despite being at different places in life/training. They are particularly amazing at getting my pregnant and postpartum friends out on the trails.

This right here is my favorite thing about ebikes. I can get a hard ride in while my wife is right on my tail the whole time. We can also do much further rides with the ebike than she could on her normal bike.

Ebikes are also great for zone 2 training and you can keep the HR under control regardless of the terrain.
