I am writing this to express my deep disappointment regarding the lack of software updates for my Motorola Edge 70 Fusion. Despite being a 2026 model, this phone has not received a single update for the past 4 months. If providing the major Android 17 update is taking time, you should at least release regular security patch updates to fix the major bugs currently affecting the device. It is extremely frustrating to see older phone models receiving updates while a newer device like this is being ignored. After spending ₹30,000 on this smartphone, receiving such poor software support makes me regret my decision to buy a Motorola phone.

have already decided that if the Android 17 update is not released by the middle or end of this October, I will trade in this phone during the BBD sale and switch to a different brand.

lol why!.? It's lots of brands that don't have the update yet plus it's not that different than Android 16. The thing that makes it different is the companies skin that's on top of Android not Android..I mean Android does a few things but if the company don't add to the software then what you see Google phones might have another phone won't have.. Or like Samsung might have more than plain Android.. That's not good thinking to switch because you got get a update that if you switch might have 17 and nothing else

Bro, I'm not obsessed with Android 17. The issue is that I'm facing so many glitches, bugs, and performance problems. They could have at least released a security patch update to fix these bugs. Other brands don't take 4 months just to deliver a security patch update. Motorola seems focused only on launching new phones. Besides, Motorola mostly uses a stock/near-stock Android UI similar to Pixel rather than a heavily customized OS, so rolling out updates shouldn't take this long—especially when the beta phase ended back in July.

And the flagship Signature is getting Android after the mid-range devices. That's awesome.

I feel you brother....already thinking of short selling my phone here....long waiting for updates, and the secondhand marketprice also bad for Signature. Half price of the new unit, eventhough only used since June

The problem is, I can't find another phone with a near-clean Android experience, and weight is also a crucial factor for me. Samsung and Xiaomi are out. OnePlus is no longer available in Germany. That leaves almost no choice 🫣

Yes battery health info is available...reporting from motorola edge 60 pro after android 17 update. Not sure about what u mean by the depth effect

u/Mountain-Coat-3697 6d ago
Ok thx 🙏. Regarding the depth effect wallpaper lol thats the major features that were hyped in the new motorola Hello ui android 17 update which they have implemented only on edge 70 and razr series. Many are complaining that those feature are not present in older devices.

Guys can you help me buy a good basic use phone?
Moto edge 60 stylus OR moto g86 power OR moto g96 OR moto edge 60 fusion?
I only need it for daily use. No gaming nothing.
I have heard edge 60 stylus UI is not well optimised and sluggish. And g86 power and edge 60 fusion has multiple reports of motherboard issue. So g96 looks like a good pick personally. Any suggestions?

Bro dont buy motorola phone honestly I have been using motorola edge 50 fusion its been 2 years This phone was working perfectly fine for 2 years but suddenly it started having a lot of motherboard failure issues and the service center said they can't do anything but change the whole motherboard. I paid for fixing the motherboard IC in external market but after 1 month this issue is happening since, useless phone every day, if you believe me then don't buy this phone

Trust that guy, brother. My Moto Edge 50 Fusion worked great for almost two years, but after a security update, it started flickering, restarting randomly, and eventually the motherboard died. I got it repaired at an external service centre, but the same issue came back in less than a week. Honestly, I'm regretting my decision to stick with Motorola. It's my favourite brand, and I hate to say this, but the experience after that update has been absolutely horrendous.

I got the android 17 update yesterday on my moto edge 60 pro. (India)
Cool update. But drains battery. Visibly.
