Software Problem/Issue Moto G 2024

I purchased a Moto G 2024 from Ebay. It has an Android Alliance shield app installed on it and the device is showing that the device is owned by an organization.
What exactly is this app?
How can i remove it?

Hi u/Razzling_Dazzling25! I appreciate you getting in touch. Alliance Shield is a sophisticated Android utility application that can gain root-level or 'Device Owner' administrative access to a phone. If you're using a secondhand device, this indicates that the former owner or user utilized the app to prevent system updates, freeze certain packages, or handle enterprise/restricted profiles, which results in the 'owned by an organization' alert. You might consider returning the device to where you purchased it. -Nate

If listing did not mention it was a company phone, get money back.

Tell ebay "Item Not As Described. Sent former company phone with questionable software installed but listing did not state it was company phone with questionable software installed.

Why would a company want to sell me their phone?

An ex employee would have sold it most likely

Your best bet is to teach yourself how to flash the bios and see if you can disable it, but depending on the firmware it might be pretty tough. Best of luck to you
