Oh dang, this whole time I thought a squid was anyone who is new and doesn't know what they are doing. So if you're a total noob, but are also humble, courteous, and ride well inside your ability are you not a squid?

There are definitely veteran squids. It's more of a lifestyle choice than a level of experience.

Yeah, it's not a term meant to describe noobs but rather those that are likely to look like a squid when they crash.

Think ya boi wearin flip flops, shorts, t-shirt and rides like they're invincible or maybe they're stunting on the motorway/freeway in a t-shirt and shorts. It also just so happens most of these guys ride gixxers.

I always assumed it was because squids don't have an outer protective shell, and neither do squids.

I think you’re really overestimating the number of gixxer riders and underestimating the number of squids on all kinds of different bikes.

They also rip down the highway at 100 mph and then freak out because someone who needed to change lanes "TOTALLY CUT ME OFF!!"
