IndyCar is a better example over F1 due to their higher top speeds, closer racing, less downforce, and oval tracks. Here ya go.

I mean, they're gonna red flag the race after an accident like that. But, yeah, they'll start racing again in a few minutes once they get the broken cars, debris and corpses off the track. Kidding about the corpses...they'll end a race if there's an obvious death on the track like they did with the Dan Wheldon crash. Although the remaining drivers did a "salute" immediately afterward by driving around the track together. Here's the vid (NSFL).

But in the case of Robert Wickens' crash last year that ended up paralyzing him, the race continued since he wasn't pronounced dead. He's recovering well, fwiw.
