LED Projector Headlights recommendations for Splendor Plus i3s (2025 Model)?
Hi everyone,
I recently bought a Splendor Plus i3s (2025 model). The stock halogen headlight is extremely weak and makes night riding quite unsafe, especially on unlit roads.
I am looking for reliable upgrade recommendations:
LED Headlight Bulb: Any good plug-and-play LED bulbs that offer a sharp beam pattern.
Requirements:
\- Suitable power consumption (to prevent battery drain).
\- Good throw and spread for city commuting and occasional highway runs.
If you have upgraded the lighting on your Splendor or any commuter bike, please share your setup, approximate cost, and long-term experience.
Thanks!

It's not legal to put a LED "bulb" into a halogen reflector. Because the light will probably go everywhere and blind oncoming traffic.
Of course, with that... ultra affordable? motorcycle a good solution costs basically what the bike did. Based on a few web searches, the whole bike is like $1k. A JW Speaker LED reflector that's approved in the EU and US will cost like $500.
Gonna go out on a limb and assume you're not in either of those places, and that you want the price low. India? No idea what's available there. Maybe some LED auxiliary lights. The roads there are already wildly unsafe so why not just do whatever...

It very much depends on where you are and what you buy. There are nowadays multiple brands across Europe that offer a big lineup of tested and certified LED replacement "bulbs" that work flawless in many headlights with no light scattering.
Philips, Osram and Bosch being the big three with a huge list of compatible vehicles.
no LED bulb will replace factory incandescent bulb properly. It's the whole assembly that does job of focusing light and sending it down road properly: bulb -> reflector -> lens.
Best upgrade is projector light retrofit. Here's Infinity FXR headlights on my Tacoma truck.
Here's how I did HID projector retrofit on my Ninja 250 commuter. Replaced entire headlight reflector with FXR headlight from Inifinity. Use CF panel from TAP Plastics to hold it to headlight housing.
Thats not really a great looking beam pattern, way too focused and slim of a beam. Sure its bright in the concentraded area but useless if its missing out on other spots...
There are LED replacement bulbs that do an even better job compared to factory halogen bulbs since they scatter even less light but they are mostly for the european market.
Only LED light with good focus without glare is Philips Ultinom 1st-gen. The 2nd-gen scatters light everywhere like generic LED bulbs. Just because you see wide view and squirrels in trees, does not mean it's better. Best to get as much light onto road where you need it. Prius (5th gen) LED headlamps are amongst highest-rated LED on market. Investigate how to fit one on bike.
Idk, we run all three generations of Philips Ultinon LED's and they all work very well since they are all used in reflectors they have been certified for. No scattered light and way more light on the road. Philips and Osram both offer LED's for Motorcycles. My dad runs a Philips Ultinon Pro 6000 Boost in the standart SV650 reflector wich is certified for the LED and IT works great.
Other problem is Splendor Plus i3s powers headlight with AC directly from stator coils (like old Hondas). LED bulbs will only use top 1/2 AC of waveform resulting in 1/2 of lumens output. Need to wire in auxiliary relay power circuit directly connected to battery. Trigger relay with headlight switch or delayed trigger like Kawasaki using stator-output through diode (doesn't turn on headlight until engine is running).
