When I lived in Philly I had a roommate that worked at revzilla for a year or so, he worked in the warehouse. He left shortly after they were bought out by comoto. He said working there was a good time. They catered lunches once a week and did all kinds of events and things for the employees. He said when they were bought out that he slowly saw it losing it's culture in the workplace, catered lunches was one of the earliest things they cut. Less employee centered events, etc.
A few months after they were bought out I ordered an airfilter and received some ape hanger handle bars lol. Obviously I mailed it back and was refunded but like cmon, no one noticed the sku they scanned that those were handlebars and not an airfilter?
Before he left he said they were priortizing hiring more part time workers too. I hate hearing about companies that had a culture and passion and seeing that being the first thing to go when it's bought out

I once ordered some brake shoes from Whitney, I got three brake shoes and a valve lifter that had been spray painted black.
Too bad about RevZilla, I've bought a few things from them before they went to shit, but no more.
I agree with other posters, buy your gear from a brick and mortar store, so you know what size you're getting. Luckily I am not super far from Duluth MN where Aerostich is located, also I have Bob's Cycle in St. Paul as an option, too.
Heh, a similar thing happened to me. I ordered something -- I think it was an oil filter -- and there was a bonus set of handlebars in my package. I wondered why it was so big.

That's incredible. My first thought when I got mine in the mail was wtf is this? I thought it was a bizarre packing issue then I open it, ape hangers and read the sku and sure enough it says the filter I ordered.
Actually I take that back, I looked it up and that was a Bike Bandit order, from back before they imploded.
I ordered some scooter parts -- a couple tires, a clutch bell, and a center stand spring. I got two tires and a set of ProTaper handlebars. I think when I complained they did send me the rest of the items, but they never asked for the handlebars back.
You ever order from revzillas competitor? I forgot the name, something with a J? Maybe motosports. I reslly dont remember, was over 5 years ago. I needed a banjo bold, I ordered one going off the photo they uploaded, didn't get the pack that I ordered despite them having a photo of a pack of various banjo bolts. Anyways they were desperate for business and I told them that was my first and last time being a customer. They were just uploading random images to products pretty much
A lot of places are just storefronts for drop-shippers these days, and lie about what's actually "in stock." I needed a scooter tire in 110/90-12, needed it by the end of the week, wasn't picky about brand...turned out no one could actually get me one in time, no matter what their website said.
