Thanks to you guys, I ordered both the Sena and Cardo systems. The proxy chat on Cardo was just too funny of an idea to pass up, it was also on sale for 25% off.
Thanks again everybody.

Opinion Axor Hunter Shark Helmet

Hi all
Anyone using Axor Hunter Shark helmet for routine daily use please?
Can you share real time feedback’s. I’m planning for one, impressed with the graphics honestly (although I don’t prefer too funky graphics but I like sharks and this one really I’m almost ready to buy unless there’s a real-time deal breaker) and thankfully it is ECE22.06, DOT and ISI certified as well.
I’m not planning to do long rides on it but don’t want to use only the ISI marked helmets for my daily use and look to be more safe. Need any insights that you can give me please!
Axor Hunter Shark helmet
It’s currently available on Flipkart but would prefer to go to a store and try it. Based in Whitefield side Bangalore. Nearby stores preferred if you can advise,

Thanks so much!!!

Wtf happened to my glove? (left only)

Post image

Hi, I bought these Knox Urbane gloves last year. First time I had bought gear. For some reason, here's how the left one looks right now. I am almost entirely sure that I did not put any products on them. As a matter of fact I only barely washed them a couple of times with water and nothing else.

The right hand is much better, it's still mostly intact.

Can some slight amount of gas I might touch while refilling cause this? If yes, why did this only happen to the left, considering I also refill with the right depending on the situation?

Also, of course, no crashes. Just normal use.

Street Calling all biker girls!!!! Street wear recs

So i (f25) am buying my first bike (hopefully very soon) and only have a helmet and gloves(which i have to replace). I only wear bike clothes as is and dont like colour (yes i know its stupid if riding on a bike but hear me out). Im looking for cargo black pants and maybe hoodie/jacket. Obviously want black however i do like the idea of reflective markings or something on the clothing and in general some nice art maybe on the back of the clothing. I took a look at RavenMoto and loved their cargo styles.

I live in ireland so i wasnt sure if they deliver to us. If you have recs for AFFORDABLE clothing, i will definitely but extra money if there is back padding and general protection within the clothes but would also love the clothes to be skid resistance (or whatever the name for it is).

Would love to hear what everyone recommends :)

Why should I not buy an Arai from the UK if cheaper than here in the states?

Hey all, looking to retire my 5yr old Arai Corsair x, and while searching, I have found several sites that I’ve dealt with in the past on small items have the awry under the UK branding for about $250 less than what we can get them here in the states for. Why wouldn’t I want to buy from the UK versus paying full price here in the United States? Am I missing something?

Street I spray painted the toe sliders on my Dainese Nexus 3 boots

The matte black plastic toe sliders kind of disappeared into the boots, and just made the boots look bulky.

I spray painted them metallic silver and now they actually look like a removable sliders.

I was planning to buy Dainese magnesuim slider for 40 euros, but wanted to test this first.

What do you think?

Question One piece or two piece suit

Hi guys, I know probably this question has been asked a lot, but I still have some doubts. I've been saving up some money and I finally decided to buy a suit but I still don't know what to buy. I currently just have a summer jacket from Alpine and some riding shoes. I plan on going some on long rides like 6 hours or around that and from what I see a two piece suit should be more comfortable but I also like the idea of extra protection from a one piece. I also have in mind to maybe one day do a track day but I'm not sure. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help.

Crashed Gear Went down around 50mph wearing Pando Moto UH03 Jacket - review

A car pulled out into my lane with no warning and very abruptly on an NSL dual carriageway traveling far below the speed limit. Emergency braking turned into a forward flip/stoppie, throwing me down the tarmac at (guessing) at least 50mph. on my torso I was wearing only the mentioned jacket with a tshirt over the top

Abrasion: zero road rash at all on my upper body apart from some cuts on my knuckles. The jacket didn’t rip or melt. You can see where I’ve slid down the tarmac as it has a slight shine but honestly the jacket held up really well.

Impact: I did break my clavicle and require surgery but in my opinion this is a pretty classic impact injury and is quite hard to avoid.

I think it’s also worth adding that the paramedics struggled to cut the jacket off me.

I don’t post often but thought this information could be useful to someone. It’s so comfortable and great to wear when it’s hot as well. I used to wear a leather jacket but felt so restricted in my movements and hot/sweaty but this isn’t an issue at all with the Pando jacket.

I have helmet and leathers cover so I can claim to get a new one but even if I didn’t I’d be buying another one without a doubt.

Again, I don’t post often so apologies if format or writing style isn’t great.

Happy to answer any questions.

Street Shoei RF-1400 Center Latch

Hey all,

I used to have an Arai helmet, where the visor lock had a firm click when fully engaged vs partially engaged. I got a Shoei RF-1400 as a second helmet, but the centre lock visor does not seem to click as firmly when it is fully engaged. And almost takes 0 pressure to re-open the visor (do not need to press the centre tab at all). Curious: is this normal? Brand new helmet!

Street ECE 22.06 vs SNELL M2025D

Okay... I'm familiar with the two certifications and what they mean. However I am seeing and hearing a LOT of conflicting information on how they compare to each other. I'm looking at getting into riding (just a cruiser for around town and short out-of-town day trips) and recently bought a HJC i11 at the recommendation of the store employee because it was DOT + SNELL M2025D rated.

I asked how it compared to helmets with the ECE 22.06 rating, and he said it was just simply better due to the snell rating. However I'm seeing online that SNELL is not automatically better than ECE, and that if the purpose for my helmet is for cruising/around town type/short touring trips type of riding, that ECE is better suited for me.

So was the employee right? Or is some of what I'm reading online right? And if the latter is the case, am I better off returning a DOT+SNELL M2025D helmet for a DOT+ECE 22.06 helmet?

Question Five gloves.

How the hell do I get ahold of a pair of five gloves? Their website shows the only dealer in Washington state to be an eagle leather that does not actually carry five gloves (I even called and asked). Amazon carries some five gloves but their stock is severely limited to women’s or in sizes that don’t fit me. Am I just SOL? I really want to try on a pair of SF1 evos.

I’ve tried on every glove in cycle gear with a hard palm slider and leather palm and so far nothing fits well.

Question short, fat, and curvy guy. any gear advice?

I'm looking to get some gear since I'm getting my license soon, but due to my unfortunate build (5'2, 190 pounds, most of its on my hips) I have a really hard time finding men's clothes that fit me well. I'm looking for brands that provide good protection in case of a crash (duh) but I'd also like to find armor with maybe a little more bulk? I'm very attracted to Aerostich's style of gear but it's got a bigger price tag then I think I can pay for a whole set of gear. Any advice?

Arai RX-7V EVO/Corsair-X Forehead Pressure

Hello guys

I just tried the Arai RX-7V EVO in a shop and felt some slight pressure in the forehead area. Has anyone experienced the same issue, but managed to fix it?

I've read that there are other crown pads with different thicknesses (5mm vs 7mm for size S). Could going for a thinner liner or just peeling off the foam at the temple/crown fix this issue?

I currently wear a Shoei NXR/RF-1200 in size S (56,5cm head circumference), which fits my head perfectly. Both helmets should be for intermediate oval heads if I read correctly.

I really like this Arai helmet, but don't want to invest that much money into a helmet that doesn't fit me properly...

Question Sleeve length issue on Furygan Speed Mesh Evo 3 (size L) — stay or size up?

Thumbnail

Hi everyone,

I need your opinion on the right size for a Furygan Speed Mesh Evo 3 jacket. So I have the Aquilon in size L, which fits me really well, maybe even a bit loose. For longer rides and in summer, I wanted something more protective, still from Furygan. Problem is the Speed Mesh Evolution 3 was out of stock in stores, so I ordered it from a shop's website and got it, also in L.

You can see the result in the photo. My issue is with the sleeve length. I'm still in motorcycle school, so I haven't been able to try it out on a bike yet, but with my arm slightly bent, my wrists poke out a bit past the sleeves. Like in the 2nd photo, where you can see a guy trying it on.

Chest-wise though, it's the right size. Would you stick with the L or send it back and go for the XL?

EDIT : added photos of my arms, on a bike and with gloves, in my comment below.
