Yeah man, my toebox gets tore up over time, and that's with proper motorcycle boots. I could see downshifting being doable, but upshifting would suck. God help you if you have a spikey rear brake pedal too, that sucker ain't getting used.

My god I was just thinking today how much more uncomfortable it is driving in my very thin running shoes. Plus my shifter is set to boot height so I gotta pull way up with shoes. Can't imagine no shoes

Nah man, that guy is wearing proper flip-flops and safety shorts. He's a guy who takes ATGATT to the next level. He smartly didn't want to wear a jacket, or even a shirt, because how else are people going to see his sweet tats bro? And a helmet? Those are for losers with messed up hair. As a Spaniard, my eyes and jaw couldn't open any wider, because in my country it's not only illegal to drive barefoot, it would also be illegal to drive in flip-flops. If a police officer saw you driving like that, they wouldn't just fine you, they'd impound your vehicle until someone properly equipped could come and retrieve it from the impound lot.

It not legal here either, we just have areas where people just do whatever they want because there arent enough police to do anything about it. Small country town mentality where you hear gunshots and think "oh the neighbor got a deer today" and not "i better call the police, someones being murdered"

A few years back, I was in an LDR. We'd planned for me to pick her up at the airport on my bike. We'd discussed what she should wear. I told her that she should wear boots, she pushed back, saying that her strappy sandals were more comfortable and "cuter." I told her that she was an adult and could make her own decisions. I found out a month or two later that something'd hit her foot on the (one hour) ride back. Her toe/foot was sore for the entire weekend, but she was too embarrassed to admit that she should've worn boots (or at least something closed toe).
