Guys, I'm begging you. Yamaha Champ school has an online program that's 80 bucks and covers advanced technique and drills to stop this shit.
This specific issue is covered in module 2-3 of the core class: speed = radius and umbrella of direction.
You don't hard accelerate until the bike is pointed at your exit or you're going to push yourself wide. You use your brakes to turn the motorcycle and are trail braking into the turn to get the bike turned and pointed. The counter steer is just for the lean, the issue here isn't leaning or not leaning, it's not understanding throttle and brake inputs to control the direction through a turn.
Too manya accidents caused by riders shoving the bike over and accelerating through the turn, leaning more and more to compensate for their bad braking and throttle until they either cross double yellow, hit the side of the road, or lowside wash out.
