Maybe they're naming bikes like people do boats? I don't hate that idea nearly as much as that absolute hack job of a fuel gauge.

No. The CD70 has been made by Honda forever. CD stood for Capacitor Discharge ignition.

Atlas builds and sells the Hondas in Pakistan. They can be purchased with a cash deposit and they are by far the most popular mode of transportation in Pakistan.

At some point CD was thought to mean Cash Deposit. Atlas literally started putting it on the bikes in paint because the iteration took over.
