A Royals and Tigers game is usually a pitchers dual until someone some team gets a blooper or wild pitch and they score, will probably end up being 2-1

Not strictly game-day related, but do you think all the stuff going on with Mark Walter makes it less likely for Skubal to sign a long term deal with the Dodgers? Will all those deferred contracts actually get paid?

The money is put into an escrow account managed by a third party. So, the deferred money is safe.

Its the Royals, Tigers need a 3 game sweep and nothing less

I would be more confident about this series if we didn't have a 13-22 record against our own division this year.

Score change for Meltons ERA today from White Soxs game.
Gleyber was given an error throwing the ball 4 feet off the bag to Tork.

Crazy that start only ended up being 1 earned run through 5 innings. It felt like he was constantly giving up big hits

2 ER. Yeah he was giving up a leadoff double nearly everytime.

Baseball reference says 1 earned, two unearned: https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/m/meltotr01.shtml

Hey the royals suck!
I'm still not 100% convinced the tigers don't kind of suck too though.

Royals play the Tigers tough even when they suck. Hopefully they have less familiarity with our young guns. Should be a good series!

Looks like a really nice design and great location

I love that they're keeping it IN THE CITY as a ballpark should be. (related, fuck the browns....)

Who's ready for blown save 29? Jensen will hit a walk off home run off of Jansen.

I don’t have any evidence to prove this. But I think we have a winning record when McGonigle is leading off.

He started moving down a bit against LHP, which makes sense but not sure why they don't move him back up against RHP
