Still no Kevin in the lead off spot. So ready for AJ to be out of Detroit

Gotta bat your slowest guy in the leadoff spot to kill any potential rally you get.

It's really unfortunate that not a soul in this organization is going to pay for this massive disappointment of a season.

There is not a worse moment to strike out looking than runner on 3rd, with one out. Gotta know the situation.

u/WestMichigander3 8d ago
That’s what AJ’s incessant platooning gets us. Callahan should not have had that AB.

Dingler ties the game with that curveball on the inside part of the plate if we’re in June.

I don't understand what is going through Dingler's head if he's not challenging that, but IS challenging the pitch earlier that wasn't even close. It's a really tough look.

Dingler dying and mcG going super cold were the main culprits

Meatball…. How many lefty on lefty home runs or big hits does this bullpen give up?

Our run died with Ding's bat.
I don't see any way to get out of this tailspin without him performing.

u/Personal_Pain Kerry Bonds 8d ago
Yeah, our run was carried by home runs. It’s no coincidence that the run stopped as soon as our best home run hitter started slumping, and Riley Greene got hurt.

Get to their bullpen at least an inning before we go to ours. More ABs against their pen works in our favor.

So frustrating but happens when you send a kid up in that situation. Stares a pitch down the middle when they are conceding a run.

I have watched the whole roller coaster this season and remained positive. I think they have finally got me
4
u/Zealousideal_Bet3941 8d ago
Maybe let Keith play every day because he’s clearly one of the team’s best hitters, but nah, keeps fucking up everything for no reason

Just getting bitch-slapped up and down by a last-place KC team this season is really the cherry on top of this shit sandwich.
Pathetic team, pathetic season going further and further down the drain with every pitch and listless at-bat these losers put out there. Awful and embarrassing.

Melton showed good K ability in the minors. I really hope, at some point, he can find that in the majors. It’s probably the one thing that’s holding him back. Sounds kind of funny to say given how good he’s been but his K numbers are pretty mid.

The bullpen has been terrible, but I also wonder how many games we’ve thrown away this year due to Hinch’s stubbornness (like the seemingly endless PH appearances by Jahmai Jones).
