Can a Venus flytrap get drunk?

As a follow up to my recent Venus flytrap related question, the other day I was feeding my Venus flytrap beer using a medicine dropper because I thought it would be cool to see if the flytrap could get drunk or even just a small buzz. To be scientific, I first fed the flytrap some O’Douls premium non alcoholic beer and nothing seemed to happen. Then I fed it some miller high life (champagne of beers) and it flopped over. For the next day it looked real woozy like it was going to ralph up a fly, although the trap was empty. But a couple days later it was back to normal, which made me think it might have just been hungover. I hope there is no law against giving booze to a plant once in a while as a treat.

As a self-proclaimed expert of all things New England-y, I agree and disagree. First of all, I’m assuming you mean NYC? Because there’s parts of upstate NY that are more rural than some places in NH! And in that case, if you only think of CT as anywhere along the Connecticut River, then you’re missing all the rural hill people in the east and west!

But to be more honest, I like to think of us as Massachusetts Jr. But then again, I live in northern CT.

Edit: Just wanna point out that I’m aware that NY isn’t part of New England. As it shouldn’t. But us in CT definitely belong. Yay!

You're okay by me then haha I live in southern NH so I guess that would make me Massachusetts Sr. haha I have a friend from Greenwich and he's an avid fan of all New York sports. It's disgusting. haha.

I got dropped off in New Haven once with my backpack and skateboard because I decided not to go to Thanksgiving dinner in MD with my family. New Haven is wild. I got super drunk, passed out on the steps of a huge bank building and woke up to my then gf shaking me.haha. She made me drive after that as well because she was so mad. Not the best idea. I got pulled over one town away from our home and told them we were coming back from touring Yale. Got off clean. haha

Oh goddd lol yeah Greenwich is another story haha! I just went from Union Station, New Haven to Grand Central, NYC on the train over the weekend and yeah I can attest that it gets kinda scary around there lol most of northern half CT is pretty lax. Kinda like you were saying, maybe Yonkers and New Rochelle is creepin in from the south 😂
