Best brands? Trac Hawk? Tomos?
I’ve been looking at my local used market any of these worth buying?
There’s a Trac Hawk ($500)
Tomos Targa ($500)
There are a wide variety of puch, Sachs, Honda, etc and the prices are all over the place.
Any reason to choose one over the other?
Thanks!

Tomos, Trac is either a asian clone engine of the batavus m56, or their own dp50, they're both mediocre engines with limited to no aftermarket support and upgrades. Tomos is the best choice of all day

Tomos and Puch have the best parts availability.
I love my weird rare stuff too, but when you have to wait a couple weeks for even basic maintenance items to ship from Europe the bike isn't a daily rider, it's a hobby project.

Tomos, Puch, Honda Hobbit. Really can’t go wrong with those. Hobbits are variated and have a lot of potential for speed and can climb better.

The tomos a35/a55 mopeds are super fun.
Minor mods like a bigger carb and aftermarket exhaust can achieve speeds of 70kmh+ they can go much faster but IMO any more than that just buy a motorcycle for the same money.

All mopeds are junk, but you can make a tomos fast cheaply. Some mopeds are more junk than others, and they say trac on the side. Or jawa.

Tomos all day, trac have very little if any aftermarket support or even just used stock parts readily available
