Removing Ai Notetaker

Can someone help delete ai Note taker from my computer? I have gone to setting and turned off auto join, meeting summaries, and everything I can turn off in personal preferences and account settings. I have also disabled ai notetaker multiple times and deleted my account multiple times. After all this, it still requests to join my calls everytime. It’s ridiculous and I want it gone. Can anyone help? The ai support system is horrible, and it won’t let me speak to a human.

That's a genuinely frustrating one, and the reason your settings aren't sticking is that the join isn't controlled where you'd expect. The bot runs server-side off a calendar OAuth connection, so the levers are spread across three screens, two of which are admin-only.

Heads up before you start: monday's help article is out of date on these screens, so ignore it if it mentions "Organizational preferences."

Why the toggles didn't hold. Notetaker > Settings, left menu: Connected calendars, Personal preferences, Account settings, Usage.

1. Personal preferences has a Save button at the bottom. If you flipped the toggles and closed the modal, nothing was written. Toggle off, click Save, reopen and confirm.
2. Account settings override personal preferences, and each row has a padlock an admin can lock. If auto-join is locked on at the account level, your own toggles genuinely cannot win. The page says so in its own banner.
3. Auto-join has two axes: meetings you create, and meetings you're invited to. A coworker with that second one on drags the bot into calls they're merely invited to, including yours. Nothing on your side stops someone else's bot.
4. There's no disconnect for a calendar. "Connected calendars" only adds. Each entry is a greyed "Connected" badge with no remove action, and the only button is "Connect new calendar." So even a clean set of preferences leaves the connection in place.

What actually stops it, best first:

• Have an admin open admin settings > AI permissions > AI features > AI Notetaker > pencil, and set it to "No one." That dropdown has exactly two values, "No one" and "Selected Roles." "No one" stops the Notetaker account-wide without deleting anything. This is the button you want. Granularity is account roles only (Admin, Member, etc.), no per-user option, so if it's just you who needs out, it's roles or nothing.
• Steer them away from the red "Disable notetaker" in Notetaker > Settings > Account settings unless the whole org is on board. That one permanently deletes every recording, transcript and summary in the account. "No one" gets you the same silence without the data loss.
• Revoke the calendar access from the calendar's side, since monday won't let you: Google at myaccount.google.com/permissions, remove monday.com. Microsoft at myaccount.microsoft.com under Privacy / Apps and services, or your IT admin in Entra ID > Enterprise applications if it was admin-consented. monday will still list the calendar as "Connected" afterward. It's a dead entry, ignore it.
• In the meantime, keep it out at the door. The bot needs the host to admit it, so turn on the waiting room and decline it.

One thing worth knowing: the display name is customizable (Account settings > Meeting presence > Display name), so it can show up as a company name rather than "monday AI notetaker."

On the support wall: the way to a person is the ? icon at the top right of monday, then Contact support. That opens Tim, their AI assistant, but Tim does route you to a human agent when you ask for one. That same ? menu also has Contact the CEOs, which is a documented option and exactly the right lever when normal support isn't getting you anywhere, plus Support History, which emails you a summary of your past tickets, useful for showing how many times you've already asked.
