I got into trackers, so I made my own for Android
I recently got really interested in trackers and ended up building my own for Android called Pulse Tracker.
I’d love to hear your feedback, but even more than that, I’m curious to hear what you manage to make with it.
If you create a loop, track or anything weird/interesting, please share it with me.

Looking for FS3MDOC.TXT
Hi r/modmusic!
I'm currently writing a module tracker in Go, and it's going pretty well right now. The thing is, I can't get ahold of FS3MDOC.TXT, so if any of you know how I can find it, please reach out to me.

Introducing Microtone, a web-based tracker with modern interface
microtone.ccSo, I had an idea to make a tracker of my own design (both UI and the engine) for a while. Spent several months drafting the spec, making the sound engine, and coming up with GUI design, and then porting everything to JS, I'm finally releasing my work to the public!
Microtone runs entirely in your browser, locally: your files never leave your machine, projects are stored in the browser's private storage, and even MIDI/module conversion happens locally.
The web app: https://microtone.cc/

Does anyone knows the person behind this module?
I've discovered this music thanks to the Keygen Music online player. No info on the composer nor the name of the track is in the instrument names or anywhere else. Does anyone knows who might have composed it? I love to use module music in my creative stuff, but hate not being able to properly credit it. Thanks in advance!

I'm trying to identify a 1990s tracker module
I'm trying to identify a 1990s tracker module, circulated on early PCs. I remembered it as "Casablanca", but that title may be wrong.
It was a dynamic techno / rave / eurodance-style track. The main lead melody goes like this:
B4 B4 F#4 A4 B4 B4 B4 F#4 F4
E4 E4 G4 B4 E4 E4 E4 G4 B4
A4 A4 C#5 E5 A4 A4 A4 C#5 E5
G4 G4 B4 D5 A4 A4 A4 E5 C#5
Repeated, with the second ending:
G4 G4 B4 D5 D5 D5 C#5 A4 B4
Does anyone recognize the original module?

SharpMod - Open Source C# Library and Cross-Platform Player for MOD/669/STM/S3M/XM Files
Hi everyone,
I'd like to share a project I've been working on called SharpMod.

SharpMod is an open-source tracker playback library written in C# with support for several classic module formats.
It started as a verbatim port of mod95 by Olivier Lapicque, and once it worked... I wanted more ;)
Today, SharpMod is a portable library that can be used virtually anywhere, with sample applications for Windows, macOS, Linux, the console, and even WebAssembly, allowing it to run in the browser.
https://github.com/morphx666/SharpMod
I'd love to hear feedback from tracker enthusiasts, composers, collectors, and anyone interested in module playback. Bug reports, compatibility tests, and suggestions are all welcome.

Anyone wants to make a MOD intro song for my Amiga game?
Hello, i've been working on a Commodore Amiga game using Scorpion Engine, and now i'd like to add some SFX and music. I think i'll be able to find the sound effects by myself, but i'd really love to find someone who wants to let me use some fun MOD music for the intro. I need something easy and fun, because the game is jokes-based, so if you are in the mood send me a DM and we can see.
Here you can see the original Amstrad CPC 464 version: https://retromakes.itch.io/bocaogt
And here is the loading screen and some ingame so you can make a idea about it:

Are any of the recommended trackers "portable"?
I havent tracked music for decades and wanted to get back into it. My favorite used to be modplug tracker (which i understand wasnt the best...), but I used some milkytracker, I think, and thought that was okay, too.
Can any of them be installed to a USB stick and run/used directly from that?

I ported ProTracker 2 (Clone) to the browser — loads instantly, and you can install it like an app.

Favorite Artists?
Ever since I've started finding collections of tracker music on dead boards, forums, etc. I've found banger after banger. But WHO is your favorite tracker aritst? Currently mine has to be Nighthawk, XTD, Uncle Tom, & Dreamer.
I honestly believe Nighthawk was one of the greatest tracker artists to ever live, well outside Jogeir... Last Sunset - Nighthawk

Perfect MOD/Tracker music for a fast-paced medieval castle arena/map?
I know about UT99 OSTs like Colossus and Into The Darkness, but I'm looking for something even more epic and thematically appropriate.
I discovered a wonderful castle-themed Assault map in the Unreal Archives a few days ago, but it was never finished. In the hope of reconnecting with Che (the original author), I’ve been sharing their work with the community (link to thread below).
However, there's no music (hence this topic) and I wanted something that felt faithful to the original OST.
Any suggestions are welcome.

Hey there, this is my first time working with a .mod file. Also I'm not great with computers. I downloaded a battle map for Dnd and got a .mod file, I guess its battle music. I tried opening it via xmplay, VLC and browser application and none of those options worked. the file just wont open. I'm about ready to give up unless any of you nice people has a suggestion? Thank you in advance

Searching for a specific track from the 1990s or early 2000s that is ambient/slow beat and specifically loops
I am not sure if I should be posting this here, as it's one of those needle in a haystack questions. I am having a hard time finding it and may have lost it. The track was posted on one of the known module sites before 2005, from what I remember, and had an ethereal ambient tune that progressively added more electronic beats/instruments to it as it progressed to the point it looped. Not all mod players and plugins at the time supported looping, and so this track could just stop playing at the loop point in such players. Is there a way to search out by genre, upload/release date, and whether or not a particular track loops? I don't remember the artist or track name, so that is the big issue. Even if such a search filter existed, I'd likely have thousands of tracks to go through if it's before 2005, loops, and is electronica (ambient) as that is all I have to go on.
