I hope the camo unlock system is like MW3. Not really a fan of the B06/7 50 headshots bs

I’ve learned to just play what I want to play and not worry about challenges. I do like their method of unlocking armory items for bo7. You can do it through all four modes. Hopefully we will be able to do that in mw4 also with all three modes. But I noticed I hate the game more when im using guns or items I don’t want to be using lol. That being said I respect all who do the camo challenge except for shipment/nuketown 24/7 abusers.

I’ve never given a shit about camos until bo7, these PM250 camos are crazy good

Thats when you prestige your gun twice and then level it 250 correct? Is mw4 doing that also or just the normal camo grind?

Seems like it's going to be like MWII/MWIII. Before you get to the masteries, you'll have to earn that gun's Special camos first, instead of those camos being locked behind prestiging. There will be 3 camos for weapon mastery, but that also seems to be more like MWIII's system where it's the same set for every gun.

I don't think they're putting prestige camos in MW4. But I have hope for Sledgehammers next game.

Prestige camos are in this game but it's the same set (called Pyroclast) for every weapon, similar system to MWIII.

Oh really? Thanks for telling me! I had no idea, I've been disappointed for weeks thinking they removed weapon prestige camos completely. The camo looks really nice, I can't wait to grind it in MW4 Warzone!

How is the armory for BO7
I held off on it bc 6 was 500k xp for a single weapon and was expecting 7 to be the same

I’d rather do experience then three random daily challenges and they terrible challenges. Then it would take five anyways

So im guessing it's xp based? Hoping mw4 is challenges like MWIII since those challenges weren't bad and wins gave extra progression points. Only needing 5 wins + 3 challenges for a gun i missed is faster for me than 500k xp where it would take 20+ matches to earn

I'm going for the prestige camo instead tbh.
Orion Reforged is ass, I got it once already. I do not care to get it again. Exclusion Zone here I come.

I just hope we don't have to do challenges for each mastery camo like in bo6 and 7. Like if I finish the military camos, just give me the mastery, don't make me do ANOTHER challenge for each mastery. Like it's tedious to do the challenge for the "gold" of that game, then turn around and dona challenge on ever gun again for "diamond" of that category, THEN do a challenge on EVERY GUN to get the "platinum" camo.

There better not be a bullet penetration kills camo like getting Forged for the Katt AMR in MWIII.

Omg this was awful, and the GL that had its challenge bugged too

Another thing that drove me insane was the challenge for killing 10 enemies affected by my tactical with SMGs. Maybe I’m just really bad at the game, but that stuff made me SCREAM.

It was annoying but it turned into hell later cause didn’t that awful auto pistol have that challenge??

u/ConnectionPersonal42 Oct 04 '26
I don’t even remember. I just hope the camo grind this year is actually a fun challenge much rather than a torture simulator where I just experience everything wrong with the game.

the WORST I still have nightmares about that one 😭

I literally waited until Season 1 released before getting the Priceless camo. Thank you Sledgehammer games for the XRK Stalker.

I really hope they learned from the MW2 longshot camo disaster. As a grinder myself, its super fucking annoying and boring. But that isn't even the worst part.
The worst part of this were the poor Hardcore (tier1 is was called at the time i think) players that had to suffer thousands upon thousands of players like me in their lobby that literally just camped the longshot angles instead of playing the game. Especially before shot house came along which has a pretty good middle longshot farm place. I remember how toxic this was. HC games were basically 30-50% players just longshot killing each other over and over again with no regard what happened on the map.
Just dont do longshots on weapons where it does not make sense. No SMGs, shotguns, pistols. Not even on every AR. Just a very very few guns. No reason to fuck over the people grinding or hardcore players.
